Sunday Wine Class - Australia VOL I
November 8 2026 | 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM24 Harrison St, New York, NY 10013
Australia VOL I.…it is big, it is grand, it is fun.
The story begins in 1832 when a Scotsman named James Busby
arrived on Australian shores with a ship full of vine cuttings from Spain and France
and launched the Aussie wine industry.
Decades later, Australian wines would surge in popularity for years…
before experiencing a wine fall from grace.
But like a mighty phoenix-imbued kookaburra,
the wines of Aussie Land are back…75 different grapes,
planted in 65 different wine regions (the permutations are endless).
It is so grand a wine country that it is deserving of a series of tastings…
we will begin HERE.
The specifics of the event:
-it will be a seated gathering, at communal tables
-6 wines will be enjoyed during the class + a welcome wine
-there will be a snack, because we want your bellies to be happy
-there will be instruction and conversation...this is a class after all...
lasting roughly 60 minutes...
-there will not be a test at the finish of the class
We very much look forward to celebrating
the Australian wine world with you.
