Greece...there are gods and there are wines for the gods
May 19 2024 | 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM24 Harrison St, New York, NY 10013
For gods and mankind was wine created.
And while wine certainly was enjoyed before the Greeks showed up,
it was the Greeks who took wine and made it important and famous
(some wonder daily about the Roman Empire...
I wonder hourly about Plato and the symposium and what wines to serve...
he was a demanding and all too thoughtful dude!).
The Greek landscape is dotted with unique grapes
grown in hyper unique places.
And while our attention is only recently turning to this land of myth,
the Greeks have been crafting yummy wines for millennia.
It is very much worth our effort to explore and honor.
The specifics of the event:
-it will be a seated gathering, at communal tables
-6 wines will be enjoyed during the class + a welcome wine
-there will be a snack, because we want your bellies to be happy
-there will be instruction and conversation...this is a class after all...
lasting roughly 60 minutes...and Abbey will be leading this class
-there will not be a test at the finish of the class
We very much look forward to celebrating
the Greek wine world with you.
